GrayCalc ("Service", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting it through our compliance with this policy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use GrayCalc.

2. Information We Collect

We only collect information that is necessary to operate the Service:

• Account Data – your email address, used solely for password-less "magic-link" authentication.
• Sheet Content – the calculation sheets you create and voluntarily store on our servers. Sheets are private by default and can only be shared when you explicitly generate a share link or publish to the Community library.
• Usage & Device Data – basic, aggregated telemetry automatically provided by your browser (e.g., IP address, user-agent, timestamps) to ensure the Service is operating securely and to detect abuse.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the Service and sync your sheets across devices.
• To authenticate you via email magic-link.
• To troubleshoot, monitor, and improve the Service's performance and security.
• To communicate with you about critical Service updates (rare).

4. Legal Basis

We process your information pursuant to legitimate interests in running a secure online calculator and under your consent when you voluntarily create an account and store sheets.

5. Sharing & Disclosure

We do not sell your information. We may share limited data only with trusted sub-processors strictly necessary to operate GrayCalc (e.g., Cloudflare for hosting). All sub-processors are contractually bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

6. Data Retention

Your sheets and account data are stored for as long as you maintain an account. You may delete a sheet at any time from within the app. You may also delete your entire account by contacting us at hello@graycalc.com, which will remove all personally identifiable information within 30 days.

7. Security

We employ industry-standard measures such as encryption in transit (HTTPS) and at rest (database encryption provided by our cloud platform) to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and therefore we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Your Rights

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, and to restrict or object to certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@graycalc.com.

9. Children's Privacy

GrayCalc is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have inadvertently done so, please contact us so we can delete the information.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date above.
